I resisted as long as I could. I was going to buy an album on Amazon, but once again seeing the postage prices decided to take a looksee on iTunes. Uncertain of it, because I wasnt sure I could actually *keep* the music I'd bought. Apparantly you can (burn, rip, chill). SO I stupidly went and bought three albums. One I wanted and is cheaper than Amazon, the second I wasnt looking for, but it sounded good. The third however you cant actually buy anywhere. Its that obscure, and now I've got it. I blame my misspent youth of very few CD singles with their "snippets of our album" and a certain flight sim for buying it.
In other news work has been quite hellish this week. The HR Manager is off on berevement and each day this week 4-6 staff members have been off ill. No HR Manager = no cover staff = Hell for anyone stupid enough to turn up.
On the bright I got to talk (well a few words) to Shefali. For those not in the know she does the weather on Midlands Today. Hey, I said it had been a bad week for that to be the good point.
The big bad news this week of course is the cancellation of Enterprise. I liked it, and I think the ratings-whores at Paramount should be castrated. Not happy at all by that news. Still it was on the cards this time last year, at least they mananged an extra season
What does annoy me about its cancellation is this crap. Ok so it stars Bruce Boxleitner (Sheridan from Babylon 5) and Michael Ironside (awww right). But c'mon, it sounds shit. It sounds cheesy American Sunday afternoon TV. And thats worse than what we had oop North on Sunday afternoons (Bullseye).
Good shows go out (Enterprise, Firefly, Farscape), crap cheesey aimed-at-retarded-American-youth stay on the air.
